Join us as we gather at Queen's Park at noon and walk to the Liberal Party Headquarters at Yonge and St. Mary Street. Wear white to symbolize a commitment to non-violence. "The Liberal government has recently stated that Canada will stand with the US in retaliation for the brutal Sept 11th terrorist attack. We believe that we need to find other solutions, ones that will wage a real 'war' against terrorism by attempting to put a stop to violence of all kinds: economic, social, political, religious, and personal. Vancouver, September 22, 7:00 pm. A benefit evening for the Cross -Canada Caravan against sanctions and war. Heritage Hall, 3102 Main Street (15th & Main) antiwar event -food, music, videos, speakers. $10 or by donation. There will be a short video on Iraq and a couple of very brief presentations. This is time for like minded people to get together and enjoy some music and lots of good vibes. Refreshments will be available. Organized by the Campaign to End Sanction Against the People of Iraq.

Organized by an Ad Hoc group of community (labour, students-UM-UW-CMU, individual members of peace organizations, members of the Islamic community, members of the Mondragon collective) activists after an informal meeting at the Mondragon cafe which focused on the aftermath of the September 11 tragedy. Participate in escorting the caravan over the Burrard bridge in decorated vehicles, or join with those waving goodbye from the side-walk of the bridge.
