Resolution on the Cairo Conference

Whereas, the first four Cairo Conferences against US aggression have brought together an unprecedented meeting of activists from the Middle East and the west;

Whereas these conferences have become a key organizing center for the global anti-war movement and provide a venue for new links to be made between the activists of the middle east and the west;

Whereas, the Canadian delegates to the conference have represented numerous CPA member groups and have resulted in greater connection between the CPA and the global anti-war movement;

Be it resolved that the CPA urge member groups send delegates to the Cairo conference from March 25 to 27, 2007.

Be it further resolved that the CPA support financially and logistically at least one delegate to the conference.
