Protest & Funeral Ceremony for Panjwai Massacre
See Afghans for Peace for more articles and analysis.
In response to the inhumane, cowardly killings of 9 children, 4 men, and 3 women in Panjwai, Kandahar, Afghans for Peace Toronto is organizing a funeral ceremony (fatiha) followed by a protest for this Sunday, March 18th.
The Fatiha will be held at the Ummah Nabawi Masjid 10AM-11AM and we will be leaving 11:15AM sharp to meet in front of the US Consulate in Toronto for the protest at 12:15PM. We will be marching from the US Consulate to Dundas Square and back.
It is time that the Afghan community in the GTA stood up and spoke as one united, strong, collective voice in the face of the injustices faced by our people back home.
