Guidelines for Submissions to the
People’s Commission on Global Security: Canada’s Role

The People’s Commission will examine alternate paths to global security through non-violent means. It will seek to advance a people’s approach to globalisation, addressing its human and ethical dimensions. It will provide an opportunity for the public to create their agenda for Canada’s role in global security.

You are invited to submit a brief to the People's Commission.

The deadline for submissions is June 30, 2000.
Submissions may be made in either English or French.
Written submissions should not exceed 2500 words (or 10 pages). They need not be typed, but must be legible.
Written submissions must include the name of the author (an individual or an organization). If you would like a complimentary copy of the report when it is completed, please include an address.
Written submissions should be accompanied by an Executive Summary.
Submissions may include up to 5 recommendations directed to the Government of Canada, the private sector (business) or civil society (non-governmental organizations).
Video and audio submissions will be accepted. They should not exceed 15 minutes in length.
Please note that submissions will not be returned.

Submissions can be sent directly via cpa@web.ca. Electronic submission should be sent as text in the body of an e-mail message or as a .pdf file. Please do not send attachments.
